Hi! I’m Kaitlyn, my husband Matthew and I have created a go fund me to help feed families in our community. Whether you are someone affected by the SNAP government shutdown or just someone needing help to put food on the table at the moment, we want to help you!

This all started with us helping a family that is close and important to us and also being inspired by other people supporting their communities during this time and it turned into us wanting to do more for other people stuck in real life situations. It is hard to sit around knowing there are people hungry with nothing to eat; but we cannot do this on our own. It takes resources and a community, so we are asking for your help.

We have created this go fund me to acquire funds to create food boxes for those in need of help in the surrounding area of our city within the county that we live in. The recipients of this fundraiser is not a single or particular person; it is going to help anyone that is in need of our assistance, and it is not for my husband and I. We are hoping to help as many as we can with however much is donated. The food boxes we are creating will have a variety of foods within them, being able to help feed 2-4 people. We are estimating each box to cost $25 to fill.

With the money that is donated and acquired my husband and I will go directly to our local grocery stores to purchase the specific itemized list of food items that we will use to create and fill the boxes with. With the filled and ready boxes we will create a date and time made known to the recipients to pick up and receive the boxes. Depending on how much is donated and how many people we can help, this can span over multiple different pickup or drop-off times until everything we have acquired is distributed to recipients. We want to help as many as we can as soon as we can. The more we raise, the more people we can bless. 100% of your giving supports those in need within our area.

We’re not meant to carry life’s weight alone, we have community to help make it more bearable. This is what Christlike love looks like. We were created to live the “one another” life; lovingly, collaboratively, and sacrificially, and when we do, it shapes resilient communities where people thrive. When you give, you’re giving someone hope, showing them that God see’s them, that community remains, and that kindness is present.
