The American flag has long stood for our nation’s sacrifice, service, and unity. Each year, The American Legion Hunter-Morris Memorial Post 911 in Cedar Park, Texas, brings together Veterans, families, Scouts, first responders, and neighbors at Veterans Memorial Park for a respectful Flag Retirement Ceremony. This event honors worn and weathered American flags, giving them the dignity they deserve.
Now, the ceremonial site needs our help.
After years of use and weather, the ceremony area has started to wear down. This puts at risk a valued community tradition that brings people together to remember, show patriotism, and honor our nation’s colors. Working with the City of Cedar Park Parks and Recreation Department, Post 911 has begun a renovation project to restore and improve the site so it can serve our community for many years to come.
This effort is about more than just construction.
It’s about creating a place where Veterans and young Scouts come together to learn to respect the flag. It’s about ensuring families can continue to gather to honor service and sacrifice. It’s about protecting a tradition that reminds us all what the American flag stands for.
The City and Post 911 are both helping to pay for the renovation, and this fundraiser will help our Post meet its part of the cost. Every donation, big or small, goes directly to improving the ceremonial area and helps keep this important tradition alive for Cedar Park.
If you feel moved by this mission, we invite you to support us and share this fundraiser with others who care about honoring our nation, our Veterans, and our flag.
Together, we can restore this special ceremonial space and make sure the tradition continues for years to come.
