Help Save Fitz, Our Beloved Goldendoodle Fighting Cancer
Our sweet 7-year-old goldendoodle, Fitz (short for F. Scott Fitzdoodle), has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer called anal gland carcinoma. After discovering tumors in his anal glands, lymph nodes, and spleen, we learned that this fast-acting cancer requires immediate intervention.
Fitz has been our loyal companion and a beacon of joy in our lives. Until this shocking diagnosis, he's been the picture of health and happiness. Anyone who knows Fitz can tell you about his boundless energy chasing balls, his love for swimming, his enthusiasm on hikes, and his gentle nature as a big brother to his Bernedoodle brother, Oslo.
The Treatment Plan
Fitz needs urgent surgery to remove the tumors, followed by ongoing chemotherapy treatments to prevent the anal gland carcinoma from spreading again. Our veterinary team believes that with prompt treatment, Fitz has a fighting chance at many more happy years.
Why We Need Your Help
While we do have pet insurance, the annual coverage limit will be exhausted well before we complete Fitz's surgery and begin the essential chemotherapy treatments. As his parents, we're committed to doing everything possible to save our boy, but we need help to bridge this financial gap.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will help give Fitz the chance he deserves to continue bringing joy and love to our family. Your support means the world to us and to Fitz.
Thank you for considering a donation to help save our beloved furry family member. We'll keep this page updated with Fitz's progress throughout his treatment journey.
With gratitude and hope,
Amy and Brian
