In Portugal, many are unaware that our fire departments primarily consist of dedicated volunteers. These brave souls don't ask for a paycheck. They're driven by a profound sense of duty to their community. However, their voluntary nature doesn't mean they're without needs. They rely on community support, donations, and fundraising to acquire essential equipment, maintain their infrastructure, and receive adequate training.

Our Story:

We are the organizers of the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships in Ferreira do Zêzere. While we celebrate feats on the water, we're also spotlighting the invaluable service of the Ferreira do Zêzere Volunteer Firefighters, those silent heroes ensuring our daily safety.

Why We're Stepping In:

Our event thrives in this region, and we want to give back. They have been supporting the wake community for years, since our first Worlds back in '15 and now we want to be there for them.

The fire department has shared a list of critical equipment they urgently need:

Automated External Defibrillator (AED): A device crucial for saving lives during sudden cardiac arrests.

Electric Vehicle Immobilization Kit: Necessary for ensuring safety during electric vehicle accidents.

Underwater Lift Bags (1 x 1000Kg + 1 x 500Kg): Integral for underwater rescue and recovery missions.

Our Goal:

With the spotlight of our championship, we're aiming to raise €10.000 for the fire department to:

Purchase the vital equipment listed above.

Facilitate advanced training programs.

Support the maintenance and operation of their fire station and vehicles.
