Please help us aid the woman who made marital and date rape a crime in all fifty states!
Monthly support for Laura X's health, her independence, and the social justice work she still does at EIGHTY-FIVE!
Who is Laura?
On March 8, 1969, Laura X helped bring International Women's Day back from obscurity. It had last been observed in the streets in 1947. She initiated the call for a National Women's History Month. Then she spent two decades successfully campaigning in forty-five states and twenty countries to end the legal privilege to rape one's wife or date.
At eighty-five, Laura is still pursuing her life’s mission, passing on her experience and wisdom to new generations.
What the Laura X Fund Does:
The Laura X Fund is administered by a trustee on Laura's behalf. Gifts are paid to the Fund, and the trustee pays vendors and providers directly for expenses including:
- Medical, dental, hearing and vision care not covered elsewhere
- Transportation to appointments and to her speaking engagements
- Food and clothing
- Her phone and internet, so she can continue the fight for everyone's liberation
- The practical day-to-day help she needs
The Ask:
Please give whatever you can to keep Laura X healthy and engaged in the struggle. We receive contributions from $5 a month to over $100.
Monthly recurring gifts are what help the most. They let the trustee plan for the long term. We also welcome one-time gifts as everyone’s financial situation is different.
Please Note:
- The Fund is not a 501(c)(3) and gifts are not tax-deductible.
