Support Faustino: A Family's Plea for Justice
Donation protected
Hi,
I'm asking for help to bring my uncle Faustino back with us. For the past 16 years, up until last Friday, he had been working for the company Ambiance. Along with many other workers, he was detained Friday, June 6 at 8:45 am. Since then, I had been trying to contact him with no luck. Up until Wednesday, June 11, he was able to call me and I was able to visit Thursday night. He says he isn't where he wants to be nor how he wants to be. He hasn't been able to eat or sleep well due to his trauma and worries about what will happen. He's trying to put a smile on his face while trying to comfort us, but I can see the redness as if he had been crying every night. The first two days they weren't allowed to sleep; they were sitting on cold concrete almost on top of each other. He said his lunch he took Friday was left; he had no food at all that day. When in the Los Angeles detention center, he asked many times for water and no one provided him what he begged for.
He has no criminal record and yet he was taken from us. It's truly stressing and upsetting trying to help and find your loved one who was detained, ESPECIALLY when they have been here for a long time working VERY hard to be able to provide for your family whether they are here or in Mexico.
He says, "Gracias, gracias a todos los que están intentando ayudar, a los jóvenes que están alzando su voz. Pero háganlo con mucho cuidado y cuiden a sus familiares, vean los sacrificios de sus padres que venimos por darles un buen futuro."
We ask you to please help us in any way you can to be able to get a lawyer for his case.
