Hello All, my Name is Nolberto Martinez and I am starting this GoFundMe in order to raise awareness and money to help out my father whose world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma.(an aggressive form of brain cancer). My father has been through a lot this past year, he suffered a heart attack in April of 2024 and is here thanks to the quick response of my younger brother. He set an example to me and my brother overcoming many obstacles during recovery to be able to return to work and provide for his family again, he loves nothing more than taking care of us and when he was ready to return to work a visit to the hospital flipped everything around. He is unable to walk or use his left hand and placed in hospice. He depends on me and my brothers to help him move around. I can see the pain in his eyes when I carry him to use the restroom but he hides his tears because I know as a man and sole provider he still wants to feel looked up to my his sons, and I always will regardless. My mother overheard him talking to a priest who came to visit him and his only worry was leaving me, my two younger brothers and my mother behind. My family has always depended on him for income. I am creating a go fund me to help him ease his worries by raising money, also raising awareness on this monster form of cancer. A part of the money raised will also go to the gliobastoma foundation because I know we’re or the only family that has gone through something like this. As a form of gratitude to anyone who decides to donate I am pledging to run a 10K at the Bakersfield Marathon on March the 30th of this year. Anything is appreciated including keeping him in your prayers regardless of religious preference.
