Support father and 3 kids after unexpected loss of mother

Donation protected

My name is Alana and I am making this on behalf of my dad and little siblings who just lost a loving wife and mother.

My step mom Stacy passed away unexpectedly 7/27/24. She was only 41 and left behind 3 kids and a wonderful husband (+ 1 step daughter, 28, and will do everything in my power to help my family). My brother is 17 and going into 12th grade. The girls are 11 and 13 and are tough little cookies.

My dad and the kids had come home after a nice day together and found their mother had passed away in her sleep.

Some back story

Stacy was 41 years old and worked her butt off to provide for her family. She was working 12 hour days to come home and spend some time with her family then probably work some more before bed. She was stressed out, exhausted and recently started feeling a little off. During her second pregnancy she had developed a potentially life threatening blood clot in her leg, since then has been on blood thinners. She started feeling pain in her arms the day before she passed away, her husband and kids had urged her to go to the ER. She was stubborn as heck sometimes and really didn't think she needed to, or I guess at least didn't think it was a real emergency.

My dad Chris is 48 and does everything he can to support his wife and kids. He broke his back twice when he was just out of high school and has had over 9 back surgeries at this point and needs another surgery soon. He is very limited physically in what he can do for work, just being on his feet for too long can be excruciating. Stacy was the bread winner so life is about to get more complicated and difficult than ever before. They really need help. Because of our dad being so limited and was recently on strict bed rest for 3 weeks post another back surgery he is still unable to work. He was about to go back to work this week then life kinda fell apart.

Their 20th wedding anniversary would have been May 28th 2026, they had just been excitedly talking about doing something special. Now days later the most tragic and heartbreaking thing imaginable happened.

The kids go back to school in less than 2 weeks and our dad will now have to figure out how to handle everything alone.

My family has never had it easy by any means. Life just keeps throwing curve balls. The kids are in shock still, I think we all are.
Everything changed seemingly in the blink of an eye.

I am trying to help raise money for funerary costs, school costs for 3 kids, help pay bills, and help support them in any way needed.

We are so grateful for your support, prayers, and love.
