It's the one-year anniversary of the shaheed(Mirwais) and I would like to raise money for his family to cover one year of expenses(rent, groceries baby and children expses) and eid gifts for his children. On Saturday evening May 1st, the 21st night of Ramadan in Afghanistan there was a multiple oil tank explosion on the northern door of Kabul. A fire was started by an unknown source, either a bomb or a bullet, that set fire to dozens of oil tankers, propane gas tankers and other big trucks that load cargo and commodities. The explosion occurred around sunset (iftar time) seven people were burned to ashes amongst them was our driver, 43-year-old driver Mirwais. He leaves behind a widow and four children, ages 14 to four (2 daughters and two boys which the boys are the youngest). His youngest four-year-old son Bismillah(in the picture above) was at his father’s janazah in the heat of Mazar i sharif telling the people that it is hot please take my father out of this box (coffin). The coffin was just a few remains of his skull, some shoulder bone and two front metal teeth which is how he was recognized through the ashes.  May Allah have mercy on his soul. We would like to set up this account to ease the financial hardship on his family who is in a state of shock. Please contribute generously. Mirwais was the sole breadwinner for his family and had only two hundred dollars monthly salary and was living in a rental home. We cannot bring their father back or ease their life’s sorrow, but we can ease the financial burden. Since these are the last days of ramadan please consider giving your eid zakat ul fitr or any sadaqa to this family. Any small amount from $10+ would help greatly. He loved his children dearly and would always buy them eid clothes and give them whatever he could. Now that he is gone and Eid is ten days away the children will feel their fathers absence more. Your donations will get them through this very difficult time, rent expense, food, life necessities. Without your donation they will be left to beg.
