Life can change in the blink of an eye. Our family is experiencing one of those moments now, and I am reaching out on behalf of my daughter and her family, who are facing immense challenges and are in desperate need of your generosity.

Our Story

My daughter is a devoted mother whose world centers around her beloved son, husband, and daughter. A few years ago, her son was diagnosed with a KCNT1 gene mutation—a rare and severe genetic disorder that has turned their lives upside down. He has been hospitalized for almost a month, bravely enduring treatments, procedures, and countless days away from the comfort of home.

Alongside caring for her hospitalized son, my daughter supports a husband and a teenage daughter at home. The whole family depends on her strength and resilience as they navigate these overwhelming circumstances together.

The Daily Struggles

While she works as a paraprofessional, her position provides only a minimal income, and now she is unable to take on additional work as a care provider because her client is also in the hospital. This sudden loss of income has left her in an incredibly precarious financial situation.

To make things even more difficult, her only mode of transportation—her car—has stopped working. This makes hospital visits, caring for her husband and daughter, grocery runs, and even basic errands almost impossible, adding another layer of hardship during an already overwhelming time.

Why We Need Your Help

• Medical Bills & Care: Medical expenses are met, but practically living at the hospital takes a toll on food costs and mental health.

• Lost Income: With no way to work her job as a care provider, her ability to provide for her family has been drastically reduced.

• Transportation: Fixing or replacing her car is essential for daily living, getting to the hospital, and meeting the needs of her family at home.
