Support Family After loss and Life Insurance Policy Denied.

My name is Eric and Im a recent single father of 4 amazing children. My ex wife (Chelsey) and mother of my children recently passed away due to a freak accident leaving us all heartbroken and reeling. I do not currently make enough at my job to support 4 kids all by myself. Thankfully me and Chelsey had a life insurance policy that we got when we got married 12 years ago. After our divorce I decides to keep paying for the policy in case anything happened to either one of us. Unfortunately that day came on March 28th 2025 when Chelsey passed away far too early in life. I needed that money for rent/mortgage, car payments, daycare and just life in general. I was informed about 2 weeks ago that the life insurance policy was denied. I tried to fight it but it looks like theres nothing I can do. Im not sure what to do as that money was needed for many things and I wasted 12 years of payments on a policy that I never got. Im not the type to ask for handouts but I could really use the help.
