On September 27, an avalanche struck Himlung Himal base camp in Nepal, burying Nepali mountain workers who were supporting an expedition. Most were base camp and kitchen staff.
This fund will provide direct support to the families of the base camp workers who were killed or remain missing. The Juniper Fund will manage the distribution of cash assistance to these families through our staff and infrastructure in Nepal.
Search efforts are ongoing. We will share updates as we learn more.
Thank you for your generosity in supporting these families.
High-altitude workers affected by this avalanche will be supported through The Juniper Fund's existing programs
