Hello everyone,

My name is Simone Ximines.  I live in Washington, D.C., and I am the daughter of Hubert Henry, who lives in St. Catherine, Jamaica.

My father hasnt been directly affected by the hurricane. He is currently without electricity, though his internet service was recently restored. While he is managing with a few resources, many others in Jamaica have absolutely nothing left—no food, no water, no light, no roof over their heads.

My heart is on fire. I haven’t been able to sleep. I’ve been watching the devastation unfold since the storm first hit, and it breaks me to see the country I love so much my home (away from home)suffer this way.

I am asking anyone who can to donate money, food, or resources of any kind. I am personally packing barrels to send to Jamaica filled with supplies. If you cannot donate money, please reach out with contacts or connections that can help us get items shipped directly to those in need.

The money raised will not go into my own pockets. I am not in need, my people are. Any funds received will come to me through Apple Pay and will go directly to Jamaica to support relief and rebuilding efforts for those who have lost everything.

Every single dollar, food item, or shared contact helps. Together, we can bring light and hope back to the families who are still in darkness.
