A Crisis at Our Doorstep: Support Families Facing Food Insecurity This November
At Holistic Bliss Therapy, we specialize in helping our clients manage stress, anxiety, and rebuild their lives. But this week, our sessions have been filled with tears, fear, and desperation. The reason is simple, yet devastating: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) payments have been paused for November in North Dakota and Minnesota.
The Reality of the Pause
For hundreds of thousands of our neighbors, colleagues, and friends, SNAP isn't extra; it is the grocery budget. The temporary halt of this vital program means families are facing an immediate and terrifying reality: they don't know how they will feed themselves, their children, or their elderly parents this month.
As the holidays approach and winter settles in the Midwest, this crisis is amplified. Many of us are unaware of just how many individuals rely on this assistance to simply get by. This isn't just a political issue; it is a humanitarian crisis happening right here in our community.
Our Commitment to Action
At Holistic Bliss Therapy, we believe in holistic well-being, and there is no well-being without basic security. We cannot simply continue with therapy sessions while knowing our clients and community members are facing hunger.
We are setting a goal to raise $5000 to provide direct financial aid and grocery support to local families in ND and MN who rely on SNAP.
Your donation is a direct lifeline:
$25 buys a week of school lunch ingredients for a child.
$50 helps stock the pantry for an elderly person on a fixed income.
$100 ensures a small family doesn't have to choose between heating the home and buying groceries.
We ask everyone who is able to donate—no amount is too small. Be the reason someone goes to bed with a full stomach tonight.
Please share this post, speak up about this crisis, and help us support those struggling during this incredibly difficult time.
All funds raised will go directly to passing out grocery store gift cards to individuals or families of those in need during this difficult time.
Thank you for your compassion.
