Help for My Uncle in His Final Moments

Hello, my name is Fabiola. I’m reaching out to ask for help for my uncle.

The last time I visited him, I traveled from Washington to California, and he was doing okay then. My dad, my aunt, and I came together to help pay for a room for him, as he had become officially homeless. Unfortunately, each of us had our own personal and financial challenges that made it impossible to take him in and care for him at home, myself included.

Sadly, my uncle’s children have not been in contact with him. His son and daughter have chosen not to reach out or help financially, and his other son is currently incarcerated. On top of that, one of his sons once threatened to take legal action against anyone who cared for his father if something were to happen while in their care — which has made helping even more complicated for the family.

This is now my third trip to California. I couldn’t afford to make the trip with my dad earlier, but we are both doing what we can despite financial struggles. Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, the doctors will be discontinuing my uncle’s life support.

Any help — even a dollar — would mean so much to our family during this painful time. Your support would go toward travel costs, final arrangements, and helping us be there for him in his last moments.
