November 24, 2023, the day our world changed.

My aunt Fabiola León, 42 years old at the time, was always full of life. Despite going through some of the most difficult times in her life, she always held her head high, trying to give her sons, Allen (19), Alvin (16), and Axel (12), a better life. Fabiola was full of life, she had just married her partner, Juan Jose Martinez on August 2023. That same year, on November 24, 2023, was the day we discovered she had gastric cancer—news no one expected. A few days later, she was hospitalized because her cancer was so advanced that she was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. Our world changed, my world changed. We lived day by day without losing faith that she could fight this. Fabiola is a warrior, a fighter, and she never gave up. After so many battles, undergoing four different chemotherapy treatments and two clinical trials, she never lost hope. Even at her last appointment, she was told there was nothing more to do, that the cancer had spread too far, to her lungs and chest, but she kept fighting.

On March 7, 2025, my aunt entered Hospice care, an end-of-life program. We were told she had six months or less to live, but we never thought it would happen so quickly. Fabiola has fought hard to overcome this disease, cancer, but she's gone too far. On March 20, 2025, another call came, saying she wouldn't make it, that it was the end. My Aunt Fabiola still hasn't given up; she continues to fight in her heart, but her body can't take it anymore.

My family has been through so much this past year. Emotional and financial difficulties, but we are all here with her until her last breath, her last fight. We all had faith for a different outcome, but this is what happened: She will leave behind her three children and her husband, Juan José Martínez. They are losing the only person they had left: their mother, their wife. With this fundraiser, we hope to ease some of the financial burden on Juan José and his children. Today, we are asking for help to prepare for her final goodbye, just as she wished, to give her the rest she longed for. She is still fighting. It may take hours or days, but we are ready for whatever is to come. Any help is welcome.

Mi tía Fabiola León, de 42 años en ese entonces, Siempre estaba llena de vida, a pesar de haber pasado por algunos de los momentos más difíciles de su vida, ella siempre tenia la cabeza en alto, tratando de darles a sus hijos Allen (19), Alvin (16) y Axel (12) una vida mejor. Fabiola estaba recién saliendo adelante con su pareja Juan Jose Martinez, Casados en Agosto 2023. En ese mismo ano el día 24 de noviembre de 2023, fue el día que descubrimos que tenía cáncer gástrico, era una noticia que nadie esperaba. A los pocos días, fue hospitalizada porque su cáncer estaba tan avanzado que le diagnosticaron cáncer terminal en etapa 4. Nuestro mundo cambió, mi mundo cambió, vivíamos día a día sin perder la fe en que ella podría luchar contra esto. Fabiola es una guerrera, es una luchadora y nunca se rindió. Después de tantas batallas , recibiendo 4 differentes quimioterapia y 2 ensayos clínicos, nunca perdió la esperanza. Incluso hasta en su última cita, le dijeron que no había nada más que hacer, que el cáncer se había extendido demasiado, a los pulmones y al pecho, pero ella seguía luchando.

El 7 de marzo de 2025, mi tía ingresó en cuidados paliativos, un programa para el final de la vida. Nos dijeron que le quedaban 6 meses o menos de vida, pero nunca pensamos que sucedería tan rápido. Fabiola ha luchado mucho para vencer esta enfermedad, el cáncer, pero ha llegado demasiado lejos. El 20 de marzo de 2025, otra llamada, dijeron que no lo lograría, que era el final. Mi tía Fabiola aún no se ha dado por vencida, sigue luchando en su corazón, pero su cuerpo no puede más.

Mi familia ha pasado por mucho este último año. Dificultades emocionales y financieras, pero todos estamos aquí con ella hasta su último suspiro, su última lucha. Todos esperábamos un desenlace diferente, pero esto es lo que ha sucedido: Ella va dejar atrás a sus tres hijos y a su esposo, Juan José Martínez. Pierden a la única persona que les quedaba: su madre, su esposa. Con esta recaudación de fondos esperamos aliviar un poco la carga financiera de Juan José y sus hijos. Hoy pedimos ayuda para prepararse para su último adiós, tal como ella lo deseaba, para darle el descanso que deseaba; ella aun sigue luchando, pueden ser horas o días pero estamos listos para lo que va suceder . cualquier ayuda es bienvenida.
