Everybody's Hometown is a poetic ethnography/docudrama about the Black community of North Media.

The mission of Everybody’s Hometown - A Media PA Story is to share the story of the Black community in North Media during the Civil Rights era and the events of the 1964 Easter weekend protests. By recording interviews with community members who remember what living in Media was like back then and the events of that weekend and beyond presented as a play in Media PA, we will share with the current community vital knowledge that will foster understanding. By involving community members both past and current, including members of Second Baptist Church of Media, we are allowing the world of today to be in conversation with the Media of the 1960’s, holding on to experiences that can teach us how to be better to each other.

Everybody's Hometown: A Media PA Story brings together theatre artists Noah Mannix, Autumn Blalock, Reva Stover, and Philadelphia actors with local actors and community members to create community-oriented theatre.
