My name is Evelyn, and I am creating this fundraiser for my family after we experienced a devastating house fire that has left our home unlivable.

Yesterday, I received a call from my mother that our home on Linden Street had caught on fire. This was not just a house to us, but the home we lived in for over 21 years. It was where I grew up, where countless memories were made, and where our family took part in every stage of our lives.

My mother is a single mom who works endlessly to provide a stable home for me and my Maltese dog, Cookies, and overnight that sense of security was taken away. My aunt, two younger cousins, and their pet, who live in the apartment above us, were also impacted by this fire.

As we try to figure out our next steps for both our families while processing this heartbreaking loss, we are deeply grateful that everyone is safe.
