Support Evan's Eagle Scout Project for NTPA-Frisco
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Evan Johnston. I'm currently a Life Scout with Troop 1260 out of Frisco, Texas. I am working toward my Eagle rank and to achieve this, I need to plan, organize, and lead a project benefitting a nonprofit in my community. My project will be to refresh the lobby space of North Texas Performing Arts - Frisco.
I chose this project because NTPA has been very important to me and my family. I have completed multiple productions with NTPA and made many great friends there. NTPA is a fun place for kids of all ages to be able to express themselves. However, the rehearsal space in Frisco is in need of an update. My project will be to repaint the walls, build some display and storage furniture, create a space for a mural, and update the chairs and other furnishings within the lobby.
I began my Scouting journey in 2nd grade and it has been very meaningful to my life and has helped shape me as a person. I have gotten to go on some amazing trips, including to Seabase in the Florida Keys and Camp Alexander in Colorado Springs. I have made great friends through Scouting and learned a lot about how to be a contributing member of society. I try to follow the Scout Law and Oath in my life and am excited to be on this final step of becoming an Eagle Scout. Both my dad and uncle are Eagle Scouts, and I am proud to be following in their footsteps.
Fundraising is a key part of this project. I will be using these funds to buy paint, supplies for building the display and storage furniture, new chairs, window coverings, and other materials for the refresh.
I appreciate everyone's support of this huge endeavor. I am excited to get started and to help support an organization that has been so important to my family and me. You can find out more about NTPA at www.ntpa.org.
