Support Evan Wicke's Eagle Scout Fencing Project

Hi, I'm Evan Wicke, a Life Scout with Troop 147 in Holland, PA. For my Eagle Scout project, I'm rebuilding the garden fence at the Lenape Village in the Churchville Nature Center.
The Problem: The current fence is falling apart. It's rusty, broken, and unsafe for the kids and schools who visit. This makes it difficult for the Nature Center to use the garden as an outdoor classroom.
My Plan: Volunteers and I will tear down the old, dangerous fence and build a new, historically-appropriate one. We will clear out the overgrown brush and make the area safe and usable again.
This project will:
- Make the village safer for all visitors.
- Create a better space for teaching about local history.
- Preserve this important site for our community.
How You Can Help: We need to raise approximately $1500 to purchase materials for the project. Your donation goes directly to the costs of the project. Any excess donation money will be donated to the Churchville Nature Center.
Breakdown of the Materials, Tools, etc.:
- Lumber & Fencing: This covers the new wooden posts, metal fencing, and hardware.
- Project Supplies & Volunteer Support: For safety gear, cleanup supplies, and food/water for our crew.
- Tool Rentals & Misc.: For tools we can't borrow and any unexpected costs.
