I would likt to thank everyone that donated to help support Etta and George. Just wanted to inform everyone as you all might not be aware that she did pass away October 24th.

Over the past few months Etta Lee has faced a terminal medical diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung Cancer with metastasis to the brain. She recently found out that the cancer has spread to her bones, at this time we are don't know how bad it is in her bones. She is currently getting chemotherapy and soon will be starting to get radiation treatments at Lourdes Hospital under the care of the doctors at Broome Oncology. During this time it has put both a medical and financial hardship on both her and her husband George Lee. They are facing a very long and overwhelming road ahead of them with the medical bills and the day to day care of themselves with the thoughts and needs of their pending future during this time.

Etta and George have spent most of their adult lives as members of the local American Legion Post 1390 and have volunteered their time and lives at functions throughout Broome County to help the local community and veterans.

A Chicken and Biscuit Benefit has been organized by family and friends near and far to help alleviate the financial burden this terminal diagnosis has placed on both Etta and George. The benefit is planned on October 4th, 2025 at the Maine American Legion Post 1390 from 1-5pm. Chicken and Biscuit dinner is $10 for adults to 10 years, and $7 for 9-5 year old, and free for 4 and under children. The meal will be eat in or take out. There will be baskets, 50/50's, and donations drawn as prizes throughout the dinner or the span of the benefit.

We are asking for the local community to come together during this time of hardship for both Etta and George as they would do and have done for so many years in the past.
