Support Ethan's Recovery After Tragic Shooting

Story

On July 12, the Carter Family’s lives were rocked when Ethan was injured during a shooting in Alabama. Ethan was shot 7 times, including in the head, neck, hands, chest, and arm. Ethan survived but suffered serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Ethan is a miracle, and if you know Ethan you know that even this is not going to stop him. But the road ahead is long and uncertain. Ethan was initially released from the hospital, but unfortunately, his TBI is severely impacting his cognitive abilities right now. He has been readmitted to the hospital for further treatment. We're starting this GoFundMe to ask for your help. All donations will go directly toward: Hospital bills Rehabilitation and therapy Outpatient and at-home recovery support Mental health and counseling services Any legal services that may be needed Ethan has a long road of healing and rehabilitation ahead of him, physically and mentally. Ethan and the Carter family and close friends covet your prayers and support during this time as they navigate the days, weeks, and months ahead. The support from this community has been amazing and they express their sincerest gratitude. No donation is too small, and even sharing this campaign means the world. Ethan is a fighter, and we know that as he begins healing from all aspects of this tragedy, he will do it with the strength, grit, and determination that he has shown in every other fight.
