SUPPORT ESTIA OPEN ITS' FIRST BRICK AND MORTAR SPACE OFFERING DANCE CLASSES, PERSONAL TRAINING & ART EVENTS!
ESTIA House of Movement is a woman-owned, artist-run company that brings people together across backgrounds, identities, and dance floors - through the shared experience of art and wellness. We offer dance classes (kids & adults), personal training, art shows and workshops - facilitating creative happenings that are community-centered. “ESTIA” translates as hearth or fireplace, and is also the name of the Ancient Greek goddess of the home. To us, it symbolizes interconnectivity, the act of radical belonging, and the space where everyone gathers. It’s both deeply personal and radically collective, a space where the fire is kept alive by everyone who shows up. And we can't think of anything more important in our current times than to really invest in the act of gathering.
WHERE DOES YOUR SUPPORT GO:
Any financial support we receive will go towards covering our first year's rent, utilities and training equipment for our brick and mortar space located at 369 Hooper St, Brooklyn, NY. No amount is too small and every little bit is greatly appreciated! ESTIA is fully grassroots, volunteer-run and made entirely possible by the support of our community. If you can't support us financially at the moment please consider following us on social media, sharing this fundraiser with your loved ones, spreading the word out there about ESTIA or coming to one of our classes and events. Every bit of support is deeply felt and valued and creates such a large ripple effect for small businesses like ours.
We will be sharing updates through our social media (@estiahouseofmovement) on the progress of our brick and mortar and what we have been able to accomplish due to all of your support!
WHO WE ARE:
Lydia Perakis (owner & founder) is a personal trainer, dancer, educator and producer. She loves bringing people together and all things art and storytelling! She was raised in the Greek island of Crete and currently lives in Brooklyn. She founded ESTIA in 2022 (alongside her collaborator LOLA) with the hopes of cultivating a sense of belonging in the city of constant motion. Since then, she has produced shows and events that have welcomed over 5,000 patrons through their doors and featured artists and creatives of all mediums. Additionally, she has worked as a dance educator and personal trainer with various demographics around NYC for the past 9 years and has choreographed and performed as a movement artist in many venues.
Lydia is aspiring to take all of the years of her experience and expertise and bring it all together under one roof, ESTIA House of Movement. ESTIA's doors will officially open on September 29th, 2025!
We can't thank you enough for trusting our mission, for believing in independent initiatives and for supporting small woman-owned businesses! We can't wait to welcome you through our doors!
