My name is Jiesper, and I am fundraising to support Esikoma Community Hospital in Busia County, Kenya, in upgrading to a modern health information management system.

Esikoma Community Hospital, located in Marachi Central Ward of Busia County, Kenya, provides critical maternal and child health services to HIV-affected and marginalized households. The hospital serves a population of over 7,500, including about 350 pregnant and lactating women living with HIV and about 200 children under five years old living with HIV.

With the Government of Kenya transitioning from a paper-based National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) to a cloud-based Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), all health facilities must integrate with the new system. This requires modern hospital management information systems, fast-performing computers, and reliable internet connectivity. Unfortunately, Esikoma Community Hospital faces significant challenges in meeting these requirements, as it currently lacks essential infrastructure like computers, stable internet, and a sustainable energy source.
