Hello, my name is María Gutiérrez and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my son, Ernesto Felipe Labrador Gutiérrez.

For the past months, Ernesto has been fighting a difficult and heartbreaking immigration case. He was detained by ICE and placed in removal proceedings while trying to build a safe future in the United States. We did everything we could — including hiring attorneys who worked tirelessly to defend his rights and prove the danger he faces in Venezuela.

Despite their efforts, Ernesto was deported back to Venezuela, a place where he continues to face real risks due to an ongoing political and legal persecution.

Now our family is left with significant legal fees from the attorneys who supported him throughout this process. We are still paying for the work and representation that gave him a fighting chance, a burden we simply cannot carry alone.
