Support Ernesto Duran's Triathlon for Tu Nidito

My name is Ernesto Duran and I am a current board member and former grief support group volunteer for Tu Nidito. Tu Nidito is a non-profit in Tucson, Arizona, and it exists to create a community of acceptance and understanding for those grieving a serious medical condition or death.

The vision is that no child grieves alone.

This fundraiser will helpprovide a greater experience for the families that come to Tu Nidito to heal. I will be running a triathalon to challenge myself and show my commitment to this important cause. There is no greater motivation than having the passion for and calling to something bigger than ourselves.

There are so many reasons why I love being a part of Tu Nidito. Quite literally everyone has lost someone, and therefore has grieved. There is so much misunderstanding around grief, and how to actually help those going through it.

When I was a volunteer, I got to be a part of this process and it absolutely changed my life. From teaching kids how to play baseball, playing tag until I could barely breathe, making art and having conversations about the very real subject of grief, my heart is dedicated to helping the youth, it is truly my calling.

We were all children, and we know what it's like to lose someone and feel as if our world is falling a part. As a board member, I look to continue to add value to an organization that has profoundly impacted me, countless families, and the Tucson Community all together.
