Support Equal Chance's Food Security Facility
In the last two years, we have delivered thousands of meals to Ottawa's low-income and homeless families and individuals. Many families and individuals we work with are refugees, immigrants and Canadians. For many of them, having access to culturally relevant food is important.
This is why, for the past two years, we have served culturally relevant meals and prepared culturally relevant food boxes for hundreds of households across the city.
Our programs mainly depend on the public (crowdfunding and donations). We barely have access to government funding for essential programs such as this one.
This program is essential as many families and individuals often fear not having access to food. Many of them have benefited from our food security program over the last two years.
After brainstorming with our team and many consultations with the community members we serve, we believe that having our food facility would help us better cater to the needs of vulnerable community members and sustain our programs.
Having this facility will also help us create jobs in the community.
We found several location options across the city of Ottawa. We need your support.
Please donate what you can and help us sustain our culturally relevant food program.
We will send you regular updates and reports, including a complete financial report.
We thank you for helping us reach our goal.
