Hi everyone, it’s Emmit and Hannah. We hope your fall is going well and that the season has been filled with lots of joy for you :) With many families facing food insecurity currently, we wanted to give back and support those in need. We feel incredibly grateful for all we have and to be able to share nice meals (especially during the holidays!), and we want to share that with other families.

If you're able, we would be grateful if you could join us in supporting families in our communities. With the money donated, we will be creating meal kits that consist of non-perishable ingredients for an entire meal and a recipe card for that meal. Food banks often offer ingredients, but not always guidance for how to turn them into a meal. That extra step can feel overwhelming, so we hope these ready-to-go kits make things a little easier!

Each meal kit costs about $8.50 to make and feeds around 4–5 people, which means even a few dollars can help bring a complete meal to a family. Part of the funds raised will go toward assembling and donating Thanksgiving meal kits, and the rest will support everyday meals like Taco Soup, Chili Mac, Tuna Casserole, and more. Once the kits are assembled, they’ll be delivered to the CMP food pantry and to local food banks in both Sacramento and San Jose.

Our goal is to raise $700, which would allow us to create roughly 82 meal kits and provide meals for around 410 people!
