Support Emma's Mission: Hats for the Homeless
Donation protected
Hello!
I am Emma. I am a student at the University of Texas at Austin. I am a hobbyist crocheter and noticed I had a lot of little bits of yarn left over from different projects. I decided I wanted to use this yarn for the good of the Austin community. I want to make hats to donate to local homeless shelters.
However, I have some health conditions that affect my joints, so crocheting hat after hat is not really an option. I was hoping to buy a circular knitting machine to help quicken the process. When I looked at the price of a knitting machine, though, they run about $50, which I simply cannot justify as an expense, being a broke college student and all.
I was hoping the help of the community could bring this passion project to life. If I get more than the initial $50, there are other knitting machines that make different size hats for different heads, so I could make kid and baby beanies. If I run out of yarn, the funds could also go there.
