My daughter, EmmaLee is amazing! Smart, caring, confident, and independent! She’ll be graduating from high school this spring and has big dreams. She hopes to attend college to study marine biology and someday work in marine conservation. The problem is that we live in Indiana, just about as far from the coast as you can get. There aren’t really any colleges here in this landlocked state that provide the classes and degree program she needs to make her dreams a reality. She’s applied to many schools along the west and east coast and even in Hawaii. She’s has no fear and is ready to chase her dreams but the cost of out of state tuition is too high. She’s has been awarded some great scholarships, but her yearly cost of attendance will still be close to 40,000 because out of state tuition and living costs are so high. She works and saves while in high school and will work while attending college and I have taken on an additional part time job in addition to my full- time job to save, save, save.
