Support Emma Through Her Fight Against A Brain Tumour
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
As some of you know our sister Emma has recently gone through a complex brain surgery to remove a tumour that was pushing into her brain, against her optic nerve & growing into the facial bones around her eye. During the process they discovered a brain bleed to which she needed to have blood transfusions done while also having to undergo reconstructive surgery to the areas where the tumour grew into & destroyed the bones. The surgeon was able to remove most of the tumour but not all of it.
Now to hopefully get rid of what tumour still remains that keeps regrowing rapidly - she has been having to go through at least 6 weeks of aggressive radiation.
Our parents (Amber & Teren Garlinski) have been having to travel to & from Winnipeg with her for the appointments, then stayed a few weeks during & after the surgery, and now have been needing to stay there again for the 6 weeks of radiation. We have had amazing family members & friends help out when they can such as taking care of the farm & animals for my parents and we cannot thank them all enough.
We have been asked by friends, neighbours, and coworkers more & more on if we had a gofundme or something else they could donate to as they would like to help somehow during this time - which is so very kind & appreciated.
We had briefly thought about it during the first few weeks stay and now during this second extended stay we have decided to try it out. As gas, groceries, medications, hotel & airbnb bills have been adding up more & more on our parents and as Emma is unable to work right now to take care of her bills - we are hoping this would help to alleviate some of that stress on them. As us girls (Tyreen, Madison & Breanna) have only been able to do so much and it’s been a long few months for us all & there is more yet to come.
At only 20 years old Emma has been one of the strongest people we know and we wish we could do anything to help take away the pain of what she’s been having to go through. She has endured so much in the last few months but continues to fight & show us what she’s made of.
If anyone would be willing to donate it would mean alot to our family right now and we really cannot thank you enough.
