Emma Bennett is a dear friend who is facing an urgent and difficult situation. After losing her basement room living arrangement, Emma needs to find a safe place to stay. Emma has suffered a brain-injury that makes normal life very hard. Also, her life is not normal. She doesn’t have family that can support her, and she has not been able to work for a while due to her disability. Emma is smart, very well educated, and full of sparks and fun when not suffering from brain-fog. Focusing on challenging things makes Emma’s brain “go on holiday”. It can’t sustain it for very long at a time. This is not a will power thing. It’s like if you have tried staying up for several days without sleep - your brain will try to protect you and make you fall asleep. Emma’s brain is trying to protect her from seizures, overload, and meltdown. She needs a lot of rest, and even if her words are long, her speech confident and her personality delightful and flamboyant, she needs assistance and a safe place to live.
Any funds raised will go directly toward securing temporary and long-term housing, daily living expenses, transportation, and medical care for Emma. Your support will help her find stability and continue her healing journey. Even if you’re not in a position to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others can make a huge difference. If you have questions or would prefer to donate through Venmo or Wise, please message Emma on Facebook.
Thank you for your time, energy, and consideration. Your kindness truly acts as a lifeline for Emma right now.
