Hi everyone, my name is Alnisha Anthony. I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my grandmother, Emma Anthony.

She is 66 years old, and she has always been the heart of our family — strong, loving, and the kind of woman who puts everyone else first.

Recently, our world changed. My grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer, and doctors also discovered a tumor growing near her collarbone. She has just started her radiation treatments, and even though she is fighting with everything she has, her body is struggling more than ever.

Right now, she needs a specialized breathing machine to help her lungs function. This machine is critical for her daily comfort, her safety, and her ability to keep fighting. But Medicaid will not cover it — and the cost is $18,000. This is something our family simply cannot afford on our own.

My grandmother has never been the type to ask anyone for anything, but I refuse to let her go without what she needs. She deserves a chance to breathe comfortably, to rest without fear, and to continue her fight with dignity.
