Hello, my name is Betsy Peacock. My nephew, Emit Siedlaczek is 13 years old, and is a 7th grader at Glen Lake Community Schools. Emit was involved in a tragic accident this afternoon in his home, resulting in second and third degree burns on 30 percent or more of his body. Due to these life threatening injuries, he is currently being transported to Devos Children’s Hospital. He will certainly have a very long road of recovery. I am reaching out to our community in hopes of generating funds to help support his immediate family during this incredibly difficult time. The loss of wages, the traveling back and forth to Grand Rapids, the inability to be in their home, and the likely loss of most of their possessions is absolutely horrendous to deal with, but nothing in comparison to having to witness their son fight for his life.
