We’d like to share the story behind a very special cause: The Jack Stone Foundation, a new charity founded in loving memory of Jack Stone, who tragically passed away in June last year after a courageous 6-year battle with osteosarcoma. Jack was just 19 years old.

The Jack Stone Foundation is dedicated to supporting children battling cancer by providing them with an outlet for their emotions through music and writing. We believe that creative expression is a powerful tool for helping young patients process their emotions, build resilience, and find joy during their treatment journey.

Beyond supporting young patients directly, we are committed to raising awareness of the emotional and social impact of cancer and its treatment. Through school visits and educational talks, we aim to help children understand the side effects, isolation, and difficulties their peers with cancer experience. By fostering greater awareness and empathy, we strive to make the transition back to school easier for children undergoing treatment. Our message is simple: “It’s okay to look different – different is beautiful.”

In the early stages, we will also be visiting children’s hospitals and hospices, meeting young patients and their families, and showing them how music and writing can be a powerful way to express their emotions. These visits will help us bring comfort and creativity directly to children during their most difficult days, while also introducing them to a safe community where they can share their words, lyrics, and stories.

As a brand-new charity, we are working hard behind the scenes to get The Jack Stone Foundation off the ground. This includes setting up our website, completing the necessary checks, and attending safeguarding and governance courses to ensure we can support children in the safest and most effective way. These steps all come with costs, and this is why your donations are so important at this early stage.

Your generosity will help us lay these foundations and, in time, achieve our bigger dream: creating a dedicated centre where children and teenagers with cancer can come with their families. A safe, welcoming space with music booths, writing corners, and creative workshops—somewhere they can express themselves, connect with others, and simply be children away from the weight of hospital walls.
