Hi! My name is Malin and I am Emil's younger sister who is also the one organizing this fundraiser We are raising funds for Emil, who is currently going through one of the toughest periods of his life.

Emil has struggled with mental health issues since his teenage years, with dark thoughts and periods of intense restlessness and energy have alternated with deep depression, and for a long time he has not received the help and understanding he truly needed.

He spent his 30th birthday (2025) in a psychiatric ward, which says a lot about how long he has been fighting in silence. This was also the first time Emil attempted to take his own life — a young man with his whole life ahead of him.

Then it happened again, this time with a real risk that he might not survive. Since March 5, 2026, Emil is still receiving hospital care and is facing a long road to recovery, both physically and mentally.

The situation has also led to significant financial strain, as he has been unable to work with what he is passionate about for a long time and has missed bills due to his mental health struggles, making recovery even more difficult.

This fundraiser is meant to give him a chance to rebuild his life step by step — for example, support in his recovery, the opportunity to get away, spend time in nature, and regain energy and joy in life.

The funds raised will go towards rent for his apartment and other living costs during this time where he is still at the hospital recovering.

Emil is a warm, caring, and skilled person, a trained electrician, with so much left to give to the world. Right now, he needs time, safety, and the right professional support to recover and find his way again.

But perhaps most importantly: to show him that he is not alone. That he is needed, appreciated, and important in this world.
