Just days ago, our dear friends Alyssa and Amanda were celebrating a major milestone—they had just closed on their forever home with their two wonderful boys, Joshua and Emerson. Their hearts were full of hope and joy as they stepped into this new chapter together.

But their world turned upside down in an instant.

Yesterday, their youngest son, sweet and spirited Emerson, was diagnosed with B Cell Leukemia. At just 6 years old, he is now facing an unimaginably difficult battle. He is currently receiving care at VCU Medical Center, where he is undergoing surgery to place a port for chemotherapy—his first step in what will be a long and challenging journey.

This family is strong, loving, and full of faith—but no one should have to face this kind of heartache and financial stress at the same time.

With rising medical costs, monthly bills, mortgage payments, and everyday expenses, the financial burden is already overwhelming. They need our help.

Hi everyone, We wanted to share a heartfelt update on Emerson as we move into the new year. Emerson continues his brave fight against leukemia, and while this journey is far from easy, he is showing incredible strength every single day. He remains under close medical care and continues following his treatment plan, which includes frequent appointments, monitoring, and medications. There are good days and hard days, but through it all, Emerson’s resilience and spirit continue to amaze us. As parents, we are constantly balancing hospital visits, treatments, side effects, and the emotional toll this takes on our entire family—especially Emerson and his brother. Your continued support has helped relieve some of the financial pressure that comes with medical costs, travel, time away from work, and everyday needs while we focus on caring for our child. We cannot adequately express how grateful we are for every donation, share, prayer, and message of encouragement. Your kindness has lifted us up during moments when we felt exhausted and overwhelmed, and it reminds us that we are not walking this road alone.
