Hi Everyone,
My name is Ember'lynn. I was sent to the hospital on April 10 not knowing what was happening to my body. I was sick and then things got worse. I was flown out to Phoenix Children's Hospital while my mom drove down from Prescott. My health took a scary turn for the worst and many doctors did not know what was wrong. I have been in the hospital now for a few weeks with not many answers other than being sedated. I am on a ventilator, ECMO to keep my heart pumping, kidney dialysis, many medications to try to keep me stable, and many more tests to be run. We do not know how long I will be under for.
I have had surgery and found that my intestines looked strange and are very swollen. So for now, they are in a bag outside of my body while the swelling goes down before they can be put back in. I do know that my blood vessels are not holding my fluids in and are going everywhere else in my body, which is why I have a lot of pressure in my chest and abdomen. I have had a few surgeries to release that fluid now. Each day is different on where my Lactic acid levels are. We would like to get off ecmo next, that is the goal. As of right now, they are calling it systemic capillary leak syndrome. I’m still in critical condition.
We are very unsure of what happens next but we are hopeful. I have two sisters that are older than me and a loving mom who is by my side 24/7. They are so supportive of me.
Alicia (mom) is by my side at all times and is in for a very long road ahead. Bills still have to be paid and keep her phone on. She needs to be by my side and cannot just work. She is in a different city as well and needs some extra help with bills to get by.
Any donation helps us pay these bills and keep one less stress on her for the next few months.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and donate. It is a very scary thing to watch your kids get sick but end up in this state of unknown is terrifying.
Prayers are kindly accepted!!
Update: 4/28
