Support Ella Jones' Future in Memory of Jeremy

Donation protected
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Jeremy F. Jones, 46, on June 14, 2025 in Lexington, Kentucky after a long and courageous battle with PTSD. He was born September 5, 1978 in Paducah, Kentucky to loving parents Jere and Sandra Jones. A devoted father and much-loved son, brother and uncle, his kindness and laughter brightened every room.

Jeremy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1998 to 2002, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal in Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment. His military career took him to various parts of the world, including tours in Kosovo, where he earned numerous commendations including 3 Humanitarian Service Medals and the Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him. In keeping with Jeremy's loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live as an organ and tissue donor.

Jeremy dedicated 10 years of his life to serving the community, most significantly as an emergency department professional at UK Good Samaritan Hospital. He was known for his unwavering commitment to patient care and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Countless lives were touched by his compassion and expertise, and he was a beloved member of the ED team.

Jeremy is survived by his daughter, Ella K. Jones, and her mother Elizabeth Willett Jones; life partner, Olivia Sasdi; his father, Jere F. Jones, Jr (Sandru Gail Jones); his sisters, Jessica Jones-Bowman (Tim Bowman) and Jayla Keane; his brother, Sheridan Griffin; his nieces, Kaitlyn Bowman and Katherine Keane and nephews, Troy Hassinger, Quentin Keane, and Michael Keane; and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra K. Johnson.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Jeremy is at peace in the presence of our Lord. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). May his soul rest in eternal peace.

To honor Jeremy's memory, donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a trust for his daughter, Ella Jones, via GoFundMe to support her education and future needs.
