Support Ella After Tragic Loss

I’ve gone back and forth about creating this for my daughter, Ella Couch. But after hearing from so many kind people who wanted a way to support her, I’ve decided to move forward.

As many of you know, Ella’s dad, Jacob Couch, was tragically attacked by a man with a hatchet while at a bus stop in Tucson, Arizona, on April 5, 2025. After spending 12 days on life support, Jake passed away.

Following his passing, a YouTuber started a fundraiser in Jake’s honor, and it quickly raised nearly $88,000 thanks to the generosity of people from all over the country. The intention was for those funds to go directly to Ella—to support her future and help with her education. Ella was told that the money would be placed in an account for her benefit.

However, after a lawyer representing someone else claimed entitlement to the funds, the YouTuber—hoping to avoid a legal battle—chose to refund all the donations.

In light of that, I’ve created this new fundraiser for those who still wish to support Ella. Every donation made here will go directly to her and her future. If you feel moved to give, please know that 100% of your contribution will benefit Ella Couch, daughter of Jacob Couch.
