Support Elks Lodge #836: New Kitchen Needed

My name is Mike Williams and I am a 15 year member of Elks Lodge # 836 in San Bernardino. Our lodge was built in the mid 1980's and at that time we bought used kitchen equipment. After all these years the equipment is falling apart and we cannot afford to replace it. We received some quotes and the best was about $48,000. We did receive a grant from a local grocery chain but it only covered about half of the total. We used $5,000 to replace some bar equipment but we are still way short of the $48,000. We are looking to raise $25,000 so we can continue to operate. Elks lodges all over the country do great work in helping our veterans and children. Our membership has lost so many members due to the closing of Norton Air Force Base and Kaiser Steel we can't raise the money ourselves.
