Blessings to you all. :) My name's Eli. To make this brief: my financial state recently has not been great. I was literally prepared several days ago to just finally throw in the towel and buy a tent and live completely homeless. However, my mental health really suffered over the recent winter, and I don't feel like choosing that kind of existence would help my mental state. There is good news ~ I was recently accepted into what is called an "intentional community" ~ I.e. a place in a rural setting where folks grow their own food, etc. It could be an extremely wholesome and healing environment for me (especially compared to laying in a tent). The thing is that it is many miles away ~ in a different state, and a bus ticket there I would estimate to be about $160 or so. Beyond that, other transportation costs are involved ~ getting a ride to the bus station, possibly getting a ride to the community, etc. I would like to have some sort of emergency travel funds as well. So I am setting the goal for the Gofundme at $400. If I can even raise half of that I should have basically the bare minimum with which to get there, so that would still be a victory. But I've learned it is definitely a good idea to have extra funds on hand while traveling. I had a rough few years, especially financially, and this opportunity could be a great blessing; and could mean financial stability for months or years to come. Thank you so much for reading and sharing. Wishing you all many Blessings. :)
