In this fight, our unity is our greatest strength, and every victory for one family is a victory for all. The landmark case of State VS Nelson was a testament to this, marking the first time a police officer was charged, arrested, indicted, convicted, and sentenced in Washington State for the murder of my foster son, Jesse Sarey, in over 85 years, made possible by the voter initiative I-940 passed in 2018. Although the case lacked national attention, it highlighted the power of grassroots efforts in achieving justice and accountability. Our division will only hinder our progress, whereas unity will propel us forward. Jesse's life matters, and I stand in solidarity with all families affected by systemic racism and a flawed system that fails to recognize the value of every human life.
I am humbled to attend transformative weekends of healing and solidarity with courageous mothers across the nation to celebrate the life of loved ones taken by police violence.
There are some associated costs to attend heavenly birthdays, Angelversaries, trials, and funerals.
I need help towards: Airfare, ground transportation (airport to hotel and hotel to airport), hotel, meals, and incidentals.
Gratitude
