Help Medina Heal and Rebuild After Losing His Best Friend and Roommate

We are heartbroken to share that EJ Medina recently lost his best friend and roommate, Adrian Gallegos, in an unexpected and tragic accident on July 10. Both EJ and Adrian were in the car during the event, along with their other roommate Dallas Valle, and their coworker Jeremiah Corbett. All occupants were CTCF staff. This devastating loss has left him not only grieving the passing of someone who was very much so family, but also facing serious financial hardship from medical bills and everyday expenses.

Both of these gentlemen worked in the Colorado Department of Corrections at CTCF, were widely regarded as exceptional at their jobs, and their friendship was known by everyone who saw and worked with them.

Adrian was considered a brother to EJ, and an uncle, or tío, to EJ's son, Kai. The loss of this relationship further intensifies the grief EJ must endure.

Living together, they shared rent, utilities, and everyday expenses. With Adrian gone, and Dallas in critical condition, EJ is suddenly responsible for everything alone—while also trying to cope with the emotional weight of losing someone so close.
