Hello, my name is Edith. I am 25 years old. In November, I left my husband because I was done and tired of him mistreating me. He abused me physically and mentally for three years. He threatened to kill me multiple times. I was scared he would hurt me or my son and had to leave him behind. He went to jail, I lost our apartment, my job, and had to move into a family member’s house. I have taken the steps to get safe paid leave, but it is almost done, and I have no one to take care of my son while I work. I have started a jewelry business online, but I have not sold anything yet. The money being donated will go towards my business so I can make sure my son has a future as well as for me.
