This fund is to create a spot for family and/or friends to ‘gift’ money throughout the next 6-8 months for our Mom Edith ‘Edie’ Steele master bathroom renovation. 

The master bathroom has a tub-shower that has become increasingly difficult to get in and out of, especially in the more advanced/‘seasoned’ years for Mom. The goal is for a renovation to be professionally done, and done well, to create a ‘zero-entry’ tiled shower, and maybe a new updated bathroom vanity unit and flooring.

Our Mom never asks for any gifts—whether for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas, and such—but when we do try, she specifically asks for “no more things or stuff.” So, we figured this would be best for us to just gift her money on each special occasion, or anytime as well, to help grow a savings specifically to be put towards her master room bathroom renovation; and maybe eventually the downstairs bathroom renovation as well. Although they did not ask, and would never ask for this or any help, as they do not need the help financially, they are very financially stable, this is being done primarily because: (a) she never asks for anything and really desires NO “stuff” or “things” for gifts anymore; and (b) mom has always, and will still always contribute to each of us, our children, grandchildren, and so many family & friends; and especially (c) because this is the easiest site for each of us children (or others) to send in a gift of money that can easily be transferred to our Mom’s savings. My mom is so very giving, so why not work towards *gifting* her what she actually desires and really wants, and also needs, as every ‘gift’ will be transferred to her savings that is specifically designated as her bathroom renovation savings.
