My older brother, Edgar, recently suffered the unimaginable and devastating loss of his wife, Magdalena, leaving behind a one-year-old son.

Understanding the rising costs of education, Evanston’s former Mayor, Steve Hagerty and other friends in Evanston have coordinated for a fundraiser for a 529 college savings plan for my nephew. The goal is to raise $25,000 to help provide for my nephew’s future education. To further encourage generosity, a donor has offered to match your donation dollar for dollar up to $25,000.
