Help for My Mom’s Final Days of Life
My name is Edgar, and with a heavy heart, I want to share that my mom is now facing the final stage of her battle with stage 4 metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
After three long years of fighting, the doctors from Oncology and Palliative Care told us that there are no more treatment options available, and that it’s best for her to spend her remaining time at home, surrounded by her family.
Throughout these years, my siblings and I have done everything we can to cover her medications, syringes, lab tests, and hospitalizations, but this year has been the hardest.
Our finances are completely drained, and even with multiple jobs, I can’t keep up with the medical costs or prepare for her funeral expenses.
My mom has been getting weaker every day. Lately, she calls us often because she’s afraid of passing away without seeing us again, and that breaks my heart.
I’ve already lost three close family members since coming to the U.S., and now losing my mother —the person I love the most— feels unbearable.
I don’t even have the means to travel to see her one last time, and that’s why I’m humbly reaching out for help.
I know that asking for help isn’t easy, and it truly hurts to do so. But we’ve reached the end of our resources.
Any amount you can contribute will help us give my mom the care, comfort, and dignity she deserves during her final days.
If you can’t donate, please share this campaign so that others who can help might see it.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this painful time.
With gratitude,
Edgar and family
