We are student-led societies — Burmese Society Exeter and UoM South East Asian Society — based in the UK.

We’re fundraising to support communities affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar, which has caused severe damage to homes, monasteries, and nunneries.

We have direct personal ties to the regions impacted, and we’re working closely with trusted contacts on the ground. The donated funds will be personally delivered to the Myawaddy Nunnery in Mandalay and a monastery in Kyaukse.

The funds will be used to purchase emergency supplies, food, water, and other basic necessities for the people and monks/nuns impacted.

Any contribution, big or small, will make a real difference. Please help us spread the word and support this urgent cause.
