Good Morning everyone; I hope everyone is doing well.

I have been in Scouting since I was a Tiger Cub back in 5th grade at L.L. Beasley Elementary School in Prince George, Virginia, and have finally become a candidate for Eagle Scout. I have one thing left to do before my Eagle Scout review board; my Eagle Scout project, and I would like to request your help.

My Eagle Scout Project will be at Mount Olive AME Church on 600 Jones Street, Clearwater, FL, on Saturday, November 7th from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.

We will be painting, putting down mulch, planting flowers and plants, putting down stone pavers around the MTO sign.

Currently, the sign/marquee at the front of Mount Olive AME Church (MTO), located at 600 Jones Street, Clearwater, FL, is old and falling apart. The current sign paint is peeling, the base is crumbling, and some of the letters are not easily readable or are falling off. MTO would like to replace the sign with a newly updated sign and to have some landscaping done around the area to enhance the overall look of it. The updated sign would be more attractive to passersby and possibly increase the church's broad appeal, members, and thereby, the continuing impact within the North Greenwood community of Clearwater, FL.

I need to complete my Eagle Project to become an Eagle Scout. I want to become an Eagle Scout because it has been a dream starting in elementary school, and it opens up many opportunities for young African American Men.
